Stomachion Puzzle

$33.95

The Stomachion is perhaps the world's oldest puzzle and it is very difficult to solve. It is attributed to Archimedes of Greece (287 BC - 212 BC).  The 14 acrylic precision cut pieces ,1/4" thick, will make a square and also many other interesting shapes, with each shape requiring all the pieces. It comes with 19 other shapes that can be made beyond the square. The square measures 6" x 6" when completed in the frame. The puzzle in the wood frame and cover measures about 7" x 7"

Cruiser Puzzle

$14.95

A brilliant Stewart Coffin design that combines elegance and apparent simplicity into something that is actually cunningly diabolical.  Despite only being 4 pieces, few will get this one quickly. The goal is to get all 4 pcs into the rectangular opening in the base. The puzzle kind of sucks you in as it seems you are always on the verge of solving it, but the solution remains elusive for much longer than you might expect.  It’s a great one to leave out on a desk or coffee table as its very unintimidating and people will want to try it.
